Only a Wounded Heart

When you've devoted your life to find
something or someone to hold on to
That you'll blank all others from your life
and believe in a love that seems true.

Then the lost of that love stabs like a knife
that punctures with a force, sharp and deep.
Breaking the chains that once held your life
leaving nothing but bleeding memories to keep

Then you give up all hope and faith, again
and vow never to feel that pain twice.
Yet life's so fickle, unfair and filled with trends
by the time you blink, its' happen thrice

With nothing to lose, nothing more to grasp
you feel like you've been torn apart
Life ticks on by, my friend, I know
with the echoed beat of your worn out heart.

Snap back to reality, don't delay
forgiving and forgetting is a start .
Just look back in your yesteryear
you'll see that you've only suffered a wounded heart.

Adieu

When you're Gone..
My Rainbow would slowly fade away,
my sky would lose its blue.
I won't know how to smile again.
I'll be forced to say adieu.

Because you were apart of me,
part me of me will go along.
My heart I always gave to you,
where would it then belong?
That heart you've always placed
alongside you on that field.
Where you have not only one
But Two lost hearts to shield.
To me your Love's a blessing
To be your love's my guide.
That rainbow in my blue skies
reminds your at my side
That rainbow is your promise
That you'll never leave me alone.
That rainbow is your message,
'a soldier's coming home'
Home, you shall return
 home to me once more
No matter how long it takes
I will be waiting at the door
Days turned into Months,
and those months into years
The last letter that you wrote me
Was blurred by both our tears.


My rainbow slowly faded away,
my sky has lost its blue.
when last have I smiled,
since a soldier said adieu.......

Underneath it All

To my eyes you put words
To my heartbeat, a melody
For every beat you hear
is a note of a sweet symphony

For you see right through me
and seem to fulfill my every desire
You know what my heart yearns for
and you know the one it admires.

You ignite a passion in my heart
and it glows, solely with your presence.
Only you can see this glow my dear
No matter the time or distance.

It's you who see me hurting when I laugh
you see the sadness when I smile.
You see what's hiding behind my eyes
when you hold my gaze for just a while.

For you see right through me..I become more than just a face.
more than what's reflected on the mirror on the wall.
It's you who see me, and what  lies..
Underneath it all...

If that's What it Takes

For what's to come:

We'll take chances, we'll take risks
We'll even take turns to lead the way.
We know that love defeats and conquers all
for it's what got us here today.

When it seems like the world has turned its back
remember we'll have each other's arms.
That consoling reassuring grip would surely feel,
like we're grasping the whole world and its' charms.

We'll snatch from life what we can,
while we're young and sane.
Better to take what's in stored today,
for to wait for a better tomorrow, is a sure wait in vain.

Step by step, heartbeat to heartbeat,
we'll trod through life to whatever awaits.
We'll face and battle every obstacle,
If that my dear, what it takes.

Not a sound, I hear laughter,
Not a sound, I hear Joy.
Such a Blessing that makes a woman a Mother,
Such a blessing is nigh.
A heartbeat for Two
Oh how breathtaking life can be
Brown eyes! black eyes! Boy! or Girl!
There's Someone in me.


There's a light in me
and I'm going to let it shine.
Such a blessing that makes a woman a Mother
and  this blessing is mine.
Awe filled and amazed
I'm as joyous as can be.
Innocent, delicate, heaven sent,
There's an angel in me.


You brighten up my life
and it shows on my face.
I'm ready to embrace you,
when you're ready for a change of place.
Oh such ineffable joy!
brought upon by this weight I carry.
Oh what a new appreciation of life,
for there's life itself in me.

JINGLES IN MY HEART

Days begin to shorten,
Nights, chilly cold.
Atop every Christmas tree,
a star shines so bold.
There you are smiling,
your eyes and face aglow.
Standing poise and purposely,
underneath the mistletoe.
Bell chimes in your laughter,
star light in your stare.
Candy cane lips, how sweet the kiss!
and the smell of Christmas in the air.
Two kisses on my cheek
a soft brush on my lips, so sweet.
This warm embrace and gentle touch,
made Jingles in my heartbeat.
Oh how my heart now sings,
it's a Christmas wish come true.
Nothing makes me happier,
than spending this day with you.
As long as we're together,
as long as we don't part.
No matter where or when we kiss,
There'll still be jingles in my heart.

NEVER GIVE UP

When Trouble seem to outweigh
and it seems like you can't cope
Learn to solely abide
and never give up hope.

Never Give Up
For the Lord would see you through
Never give up on Him
for hH never gave up on you.

He'll lift you up through downfalls
if you lift Him up in prayer
Just put your trust in him
He'll always be there

He'll find you when lost
if you find Him in prayer
Never give up hope
He'll find you even In despair

He'll surely carry  you
if you carry Him in prayer
Never Give up on Him
with Him, Hope is always there

Keep Him in sight, Keep moving Forward
don't pause or rewind.
Life and time waits on no one, so keep up
and keep "giving up" out of mind.
