The Answer

When I asked for direction

You gave light to the way 

When I asked for your guidances, your hand.

Lord you are my light, today and onward

and my strength, whenever I stand.

Confused, I needed answers

In different ways you've provided.

You said, In You, I can always trust.

Lord, It's you who've died, It's you who've risen.

It's you who delivered us.

There were times I felt despondent

I Felt like giving up,

But you carried me through that phase.

Lord, It's you who are worthy, worthy of thanks

and also most worthy if praise.

When I was alone

and I Felt afraid.

You said, '' Fear not, from you I'll never part"

Lord you lie above clouds, dwell in heavenly places

yet you also reside in this servant's heart.

When circumstances arise, and it's angered my heart

where loved ones and friends are concerned.

I seeked God 

and this is what i learnt.

He said: My child, when friends and loved ones deceive you

and the pain is piercing your tender heart

Spread your arms and forgive, that you'll always do.

For when you, my people, sinned and forsaken me 

I spread my arms on a cross

and forgave too.
