Dreamt of a love based on promises, of a happy life together
The ever binding love, the kind they say lasts forever.
Sealed our friendship with a smile, our courtship with a kiss.
Sealed our marriage with a ring, bonded by love, promise and happiness
Woke up to broken promises, and a broken heart.
A heart that lacked love, a heart that slowly tore apart.
Back to reality back to real life where some dreams , are just dreams
And that nothing we see and believe, sometimes, are ever what it seems.
An over aimed goal, now a missed target.
An Illusive dream, that I'll never have nor forget.
Different Destinies defined, two hearts trodding one road.
Along that road was the smile, the kiss the ring, but love, promises and happiness never unfold
A new beginning ended, what I'm left with, I've never dreamt of
Is once a virgin heart now broken, from an unrequited love
