To Have a Teacher

To Have a Teacher More than I bargained for
Someone who've always taught me That in Life there's always more
A smile, a pat on the back, pushed you ever forward.
There to frown at you, if you ever stepped backward.

Your passion for what you do, I greatly admire
To be like you is a dream, A dream I'd like to acquire.
To speak words that'll slap you back on your feet.
And to fight and never settle for defeat

A role model indeed, you are to my eyes
Distinguished and unique, and now I realise.
That you are a flower, elegantly standing out from the rest.
Many in my garden, but you are the best.

Now I live to respect and appreciate all you've done for me,
You're Godsend, a wonderful gift, that you'll always be.
Given to me without question, is a warmhearted teacher
Whom to my heart and to my eyes, is like a caring mother.

Your students; your children, whom you'll tolerate and discipline
No matter how angry you got, we knew you cared deep within.
A small tear or a wide smile marks you've accepted this small token
Remember your every tear and smile would never be forgotten

To have a teacher More than I bargained for in the end...
Is to have her still here,, cherished.., Teaching me something new..
As a Teacher,
      As a Mother,
             As a Friend.
