Godsend

Along you came and lit my faith...
made me believe in myself again.
For there was a time, when all was dull and dim...
then God sent you, a lamp, a friend.

You then restored my strength,
to stand firmly in life's battlefield.
You somehow appeared up front and bold,
knew God sent you to guide and shield.

Ever since, you've staircase my footsteps,
winding roads, though bumpy, you got me through.
You began to grasp my heart, as you held my hands,
A grip, let alone, assured what was true.

You gave me that courage, how ironic,
to hoist a white flag after progress.
For I began to surrender my heart, my love,
my inner most feelings, and rewarded happiness.

Since then we shared a kind of love,
A love that exceeds unconditional.
A love that reigns, be it good times or bad,
A love that seems eternal.

He saved me, He gave me you...
I have reason to wake up everyday.
Gave me another value to life, God's the sole reason..
and only He can take that breath away.
