I may have missed it again.....

like missing the twilight, so many times

forgetting how colourful it could be

Like missing a boat...

and you're shipwrecked at sea.

Its like you've missed morning,

its' music, its' moist, its' sunrise.

If you knew it slips by this quickly,

would you have closed your eyes?

and so, day would turn into night

would tomorrow come again?

For it I'll wait, for it I'll pray

like in a drought for rain.

Never did life's clock move so fast

its racing with my heartbeat.

This time I'll challenge you,

This time I wont settle for defeat.

As sure as the sun would rise

as strong as my faith would be,

My door is open, my eyes are wide.

I'll catch you this time, Mr Opportunity.

Mama, He Told Me to

Dear Mama,

Since I was young, tender and innocent,
before I knew of a world and it's charms.
Its He who, when I took my first step,
told me to stumble into your arms.
I crawled, I stepped, I matured,
Mama you guided me, now here I stand.
For when I asked Him for guidance,
He told me hold your hands.

Ahead of me lies life's journey,
before me, roads and miles.
When I asked him for an insight of what to expect,
He told me look into your eyes.
Mama in your eyes I saw life,
saw love, pain, laughter and sorrow.
Mama He told me to brace myself,
for these were the patterns of tomorrow.

Along my path, I became tired and despondent,
felt like I've carried all that I can.
He told me you've carried a 1000 times more
and I could see that in your hands.
In your hands, I traced the lines of a complexed journey,
saw strains of burdens, marks of hardship and pain.
Mama your hands made me saddle up
and galloped on my lifes' journey again.

Mama I obeyed and trust this Man.
Its through you, He answers when I call.
He gave me an insight to compassion and life
when he gave me the Greatest Gift of all.
He gave me you, Mama
or is it that He gave me to you.
Either way I'm blessed with a Mother,
A Mother so loving, thoughtful and true.

I am who I am today because of you,
I now face my Life journey without fears.
I hope that with every successful step I take,
I wipe away a fraction of your pain and tears.
May good memories comfort you,
For children sure grow distant, along with time.
but, Mama He told me in advance
that you'll find solace in a letter you will find

ALONG THESE SHORES:- A Familiar Path

Today I walk a familiar path,
along the deep oceans' sandy shores.
and you are with me, as you were yesterday.....
like the sun peering through heavens' open doors

I smiled, and walked with you..
reminiscing our laughs, our moments, oh how real it could be
Again the seagulls and the waves laugh at me..
ridiculing my everyday insanity.

As i walked on, deeper and deeper I stepped..
into our memories, and I welcomed you home.
I feel your presence and relive moments of having you here...
still here, by my side and I'm not alone.

Alone no more, but soon I'll be,
for my walk, like yesterday, is at its end.
Again the sun was saying goodbye...
you, were saying goodbye again.

As i looked out at the setting sun..
it made my eyes draw tears.
As i blinked, the tears reminded me...
that you've been gone for years.

Those years I've walked along these shores,
a walk, both heartwarming and heartbreaking, ironically.
A walk that'll seem to last, and go on forever...
yet will always end too soon, unfortunately.

For every time I walk and bask in the feeling,
of having you again, I dread the sunsets' trend
For when it comes, as it did, as it will always..
My walk ends, and I lose you again...again... and again.

A sad reluctant bid to the sun, to you..
as heaven slowly closed its' doors
Felt a familiar pain, loneliness, when i looked back..
and saw one set of footprints on the open shores.

Yet everyday, I'll walk these shores
It's where i seek and have you again.
It's where even though by sunset...
I'll lose you all over in the end.

Glad the waves stopped roaring,
and the seagulls are all gone.
But gone again was the sun..
and so were you, again, so long...

Having you to lose you , again
an everyday experience, I can't evade.
For since the waves.. the sun.. took you away,
My heart made it an inevitable trade.

Today I walk a familiar path,
         and you are here with me, till the end
               as you were yesterday,
                      along these shores again............

Godsend

Along you came and lit my faith...
made me believe in myself again.
For there was a time, when all was dull and dim...
then God sent you, a lamp, a friend.

You then restored my strength,
to stand firmly in life's battlefield.
You somehow appeared up front and bold,
knew God sent you to guide and shield.

Ever since, you've staircase my footsteps,
winding roads, though bumpy, you got me through.
You began to grasp my heart, as you held my hands,
A grip, let alone, assured what was true.

You gave me that courage, how ironic,
to hoist a white flag after progress.
For I began to surrender my heart, my love,
my inner most feelings, and rewarded happiness.

Since then we shared a kind of love,
A love that exceeds unconditional.
A love that reigns, be it good times or bad,
A love that seems eternal.

He saved me, He gave me you...
I have reason to wake up everyday.
Gave me another value to life, God's the sole reason..
and only He can take that breath away.

I love you today, and I'll love you tomorrow
These are the words to simmer your sorrow.
Open your heart and show me the way
I'll tend to the part that's leading you astray.
I'll be your angel, I'll be your friend.

I'll also make a promise, hope your heart can endure.
I love you now, always.. and Forevermore.

I love you today, and I'll love you forever.
My heart's at rest, for I've found my treasure.
More precious than gem, more precious than gold,
Your presence brings warmth to my heart and soul.
Rich in love and rich at heart,
Our priceless love blossomed from the start.
Whisper softly to you, that promise once more.
"I love you now, tomorrow.... and Forevermore
