Oh Mother of Mine

Oh Mother of Mine

Mother of mine, you've built me a world
when you made our house into a home.
Just with your presence ever so bold
you sheltered a daughter from the cold.

Mother you're special, Oh mother of mine
you are strong willed, you're one of a kind.
Behind you a history, around you fine art
Home its' frame, family, its' portrait, proud I'm a part.

A mother so true, a mother so pure
a woman I look up to, a woman I adore
Oh mother you are blessed, Oh mother you are mine
mother you're simply Love defined

Principles, values, right from wrong
molded and shaped me to be strong.
Oh mother of mine, I stand proudly and say
you're the reason I am who I am today.

         Oh Mother of Mine.............

If That's What It Takes

For whats to come,
We'll take chances, we'll take risks
we'll even take turns to lead the way.
We know that love defeats and conquers all
for it's what brought us here today.

When it'll seem like the world has turned its back,
remember we'll have each others arms.
That consoling grip would surely feel,
like we're grasping the whole world and it's charms.

We'll snatch from life what we can
while we're young and sane.
Better to take what's in stored today,
for to wait for a better tomorrow, is a sure wait in vain.

Step by step, heartbeat to heartbeat,
we'll trod through life to whatever awaits.
And we'll face and battle every obstacle,
if that's, my friend, what it takes.

Passages

PASSAGES

These words are pieces of my heart
Pieces I let slip away.
They melt and run through my eyes,
fall to my lips, and so i say.
Even though we've hurt and cry in this love,
you're still a part of my life, my heart, my song.
May it's music forever pierce your ears, your heart
May it's words forever stay and belong.

These words are pieces of my heart,
pieces that my heart sheds at night.
They melt and flow through my veins, to my fingers,
fall to my pages, and so i write.
Sweet poetry from the sacrosanct depths of my soul,
reflecting loves ambience, its pain, its art
An insight, and x-ray, a blueprint
of whats engraved on my heart.

These words are of the heart,
a part of its shape, its body, its core.
They melt and mould us, our love
it's foundation, its pain, its happiness, its ardor.
And so these words melt, and take passages
forever would they flow and be a part of me, as it is of you
in my heart, my soul, my mind, my hand,
for that's where you are too

One Way Love

One Way Love

I feel like a flower,
whose petals have been blown away
I feel like the sun,
shining only in the midst of day.
I feel like a spider
trapped in a web I've weaved
I feel like a widow
yet I've never been bereaved
I feel like an hour hand
awaiting my turn, as others tick by
I feel like an ant
never did a molehill seem so high
I feel like an anchor
searching for a grip, a rock, stability
I feel like time is running out
this ship will be lost at sea.
And so this ship is lost
and I'm in search for land
Feel like the bonds we had
were written on the surface of sand
Like a book, like a trophy
I sat on a dusty shelf
One day we looked into a mirror
saw only a reflection of myself.
Though together, I was alone
the love vein to my heart, grew dust
I gave all, all the love I can give
I was loving for both of us.

Rain On Me

RAIN ON ME

Where can i hide, where can i go
to escape today, to escape tomorrow?
I'm hurting, wounded, I'm aching inside
I'm bleeding, I'm shedding, on the outside
Love crippled and injured me.
It's getting difficult to breathe and see
I'm bleeding through these blurry eyes
where now, does this broken heart lie?
And so i'm standing in the pouring rain
trying to hide my tears, my pain.

Would these wounds ever heal? Is there a cure?
It's killing me slowly, can't take it no more.
Time keeps crawling, on and on,
where does this broken heart belong?
Its heartstrings, burst, its' content gone
hear the cadence of its' beat, its' heartfelt song.
It faded... now it cries, no more would it sing,
till I shed this cocoon, till I spread my wings.
Until then, I'm here still standing in the rain
hoping no one would see my tears, my pain.

So Few

SO FEW

Snatch this chance at life
we get so few of them
Embrace this shot at love
we get so few of them
Enjoy this beautiful day
we get so few of them
Cherish true friends
for you know, there's so few of them.

Praise God for ALL our blessings
we say thanks for so few of them
Seize all chances today, rather than tomorrow
we might get so few of them
Capture every smile
we get so few of them
Welcome every tear
for you know, never would there be so few of them

Twilight's Dance

TWILIGHT'S DANCE

As  the sun sets, colours disperse and blend
Boldly bedecking the horizons' end.
Captivating! As God's hands painted the sky
Divine! A decor of dusk is nigh.
Everwelcoming, ever breathtaking
Fascinating! As gaiety is everflowing.
Graciously into lovers hearts
Heaven displays a work of art.
Igniting passion, as the sun sinks into the distance
Just by its aura, triggering a spark of romance.
Kissing the ocean as it slowly dips in
Leaving a splash of colour beyond and within.
Majestic! But soon the curtains will close
Night's prowl, is on Twilight's toes.
Oh such ineffable joy, illuminating the sky
Praises, for another day is sinking by.
Quietly, subsiding with today's trouble and worry
Rejoice and dance with Twilight in solemn reverie.
So long my little dove, sweet dreams little flower
Too soon, her sun bows, her dance was over.
Underneath, his shadows grow
Venturing through  lands high and low.
With his black cape, hovering over the green
X-raying the twinkling spectators that once stood unseen
Yonder, his moon and creatures would come out to play
Zealously, till she dances again, to start another day.

Below the night

Tonight, as the moon shows its' face....
I'll close my eyes and feel,
your forever warm embrace.

Tonight, though all the stars are bright...
I close my eyes and see
your still the brightest in my sight.

                       I won't forget you.......my love.
Below the night,
    there's tears on my pillow,
           It's where my heart lies.
Below the night,
I can't hold back these escaping tears,
even if I close my eyes.

Tonight, as the wind steals serenity....
I close my eyes and know,
you're whispering to me.

Tonight, all angels sing along
I close my eyes and hear
your forever heartfelt song.

                      I won't forget you........my love.
Below the night,
        there's tears on my pillow,
It's where this broken heart lies.
Below the night,
though I can't hold back these escaping tears,
I'll still forever close my eyes.

Though I Was Silent

Though I Was Silent

Though I couldn't grasp,
I held onto you.
Though I couldn't cry,
when you did, I silently wept too.
Though I couldn't breathe,
I lived through you.
You held onto me,
so I held onto you.

You saw me when i was invisible,
heard me though i made no sound.
A mother's sixth sense, I'd say,
to each other, we'll be forever bound.

And so you sang to me,
a song I heard many times before.
You stopped, I felt you weeping,
then you sang to me once more.
Then God's angels sang to me,
as I fell asleep one day.
To the echo of your heartbeat,
as mine slowly faded away.

Said a million words
In this short time I've spent
Cried a million tears,
though i was silent.

The bond we've shared,
who but a mother can understand.
The tears we've cried
are right there in your hands.
It's okay mommy,
from an unseen world, I now depart.
Though I couldn't trace your face,
I got to trace your heart.
